SAMILA BEACH, some 3 kilometres from the Municipal Market on Ratchadamnoen Road, is characterized by soft white sand and beachside pine trees. The most prominent landmark is a Golden Mermaid statue on the headland fronting the beachside Samila Hotel
The Golden Mermaid on Samila Beach.

Laem Samila Another name of this cave is Laem Sai. Located 3 kms. from town, it is characterised by soft white sand and beachside pine trees. The most prominent landmark is a mermaid statue on the headland. Accommodation and restaurants are available. Two offshore islands are Ko Nu and Ko Maeo where coastal island waters are favoured by anglers

While the Florida is a fifteen minute walk from the centre of Hatyai, it remains quite good value. Rooms are clean and have tv and air-con and some have good views, and while there is some traffic noise, it remains bearable. We stay at this Hotel 550 Bath for this room.
